Job Description

Engineering firm in Louisville, Kentucky is searching for a Senior Civil Engineer who is experienced and knowledgeable in all aspects of civil engineering design. The successful candidate will work under limited direction from company partners and will direct the work and efforts of the engineering design teams.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Responsibilities will include project time management, assisting/guiding junior engineers and designers, and coordination with planning and surveying departments. 
• Successful candidate will have experience in all aspects of civil engineering design, including:
• Commercial, residential, retail and industrial site design – including stand-alone sites, single and multi-family residential subdivisions, and commercial subdivisions
• Storm and sanitary design, storm water management, and water quality design; sanitary pump station, and force main design
• Roadway and parking lot design
• Construction cost estimates
• Understanding and application of development codes and regulations, project permitting and agency coordination
• Client coordination and business development  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Licensed Professional Engineer
